Geovana is an Associate Marriage Family Therapist and is supervised by Dr. Thomas Lucking. Geovana is a Chicana therapist who has dedicated her career to serving diverse populations, including Neurodiverse individuals and children of immigrant parents. Geovana has experience working with children, teens, adults, and couples who have struggled with various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship difficulties.

Geovana works with Neurodiverse (Autism & ADHD) children, teens, and couples. She works under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Lucking, PhD who is a published author, speaker, and expert in the field of Neurodiversity. Geovana supports NT partners who are struggling with social skills, identity formation, behavioral issues, OTRS (Ongoing Traumatic Relationship Syndrome). She uses the Island of Shared meaning model that Dr. Lucking created to support ND relationships and partners to bridge the Neurodiverse gap that these relationships struggle with.

Geovana is a child of immigrants and understands the experience of adjusting to both the family’s culture and American culture. She advocates for mental health, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ issues and hopes that sessions are a safe space for her patients to share and grow. She hopes to add value to the lives of her patients by instilling confidence in knowing they have grown within their time together.

Geovana recognizes the importance of cultural sensitivity and values each individual’s uniqueness and experiences. She takes an intersectional approach, acknowledging the multiple identities and systems of oppression that may impact clients’ lives.

Geovana’s therapeutic approach is rooted in somatic, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic therapy. She also integrates a trauma-informed framework, creating a safe and inclusive space for all clients. With her multifaceted skill set, Geovana meets clients where they are and helps them find their unique path toward healing and growth.
