Vickya is a Clinical Psychotherapy Intern and PhD student at Saybrook University studying Clinical Psychology. She works under the supervision of Dr. Roberta Rubin who is a licensed Clinical Psychologist. Vickya is studying to become a Clinical Psychologist for those with a wide range of mental health challenges, especially trauma.

She specializes in working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and different forms of trauma. She also has a keen interest in somatic psychotherapy and hopes to use her background in dance to encourage clients to utilize the movement and connection with their bodies as a form of therapeutic healing. In addition, she is a part of the LGBTQ community and takes pride in empowering queer folks to discover and embrace their identity. 

Psychological Testing & Assessments

As a psychology student Vickya can help with IQ testing, personality assessments, career tests, and Autism assessments. She uses the latest tools based on sound research to help client’s understand themselves. Vickya will work each client to have a deep understanding of each assessment that is taken. Written reports can be provided as well based on the needed application.

Safe and Warm Space

Vickya uses a humanistic approach when working with clients. She believes that her clients should have autonomy when making decisions and works with clients collaboratively to guide them through their decision-making process. Her hope is that her work with clients will enable them to leave sessions with helpful tools that they can learn to use on their own when they need support.

Vickya also supports those in the LGBTQ community and takes pride in empowering queer folks to embrace their identity. She recognizes how hard it can be for individuals to navigate the changes that occur while coming out and wants to help them with that difficult life transition. Vickya uses a humanistic approach when working with clients. She believes that her clients should have autonomy when making decisions and works with clients collaboratively to guide them through their decision-making process. As a mindset coach (CBT), her aim is to help clients get rid of negative self-talk so that they can successfully reach their goals.
