Shayna works with families, children, and parents on and off the Autism spectrum. She helps with social skills, school challenges, and family transitions such as divorce, separation, or grief and loss. Shayna brings her encouraging and highly motivating style of coaching to promote prosocial and positive life momentum.
Shayna’s expertise and passion lies in exploring each person’s unique strengths. Shayna stands by a humanistic approach with a holistic lens to aid in strategies that recognize the root causes of difficulties and how to build meaningful connections.
Shayna’s work with Autism and Neurodiveristy is guided by Dr. Thomas Lucking, PhD who is a published author, speaker, and expert in these fields. Shayna uses the Island of Shared meaning model that Dr. Lucking created to teach nonviolent communication and promote mutually nurturing relationships. In addition she incorporates Dr. Lucking’s book on social skills as part of a comprehensive treatment process.
Shayna supports Neurodiverse couples and NT partners who are struggling with OTRS (Ongoing Traumatic Relationship Syndrome). She uses the Island of Shared meaning model to help ND relationships and partners to bridge the Neurodiverse gap that these relationships struggle with.
Her ultimate focus is to empower clients to improve interpersonal communication which is vital to cultivating healthy and loving relationships.
